AHMAD DAHLAN INTERNATIONAL YOUTH CAMP (ADYC) 2024

About ADYC

In the era of globalization, the younger generation plays an important role in shaping and being shaped by an interconnected world. They drive innovation, influence technology trends, and use these tools to connect globally, share ideas, and advocate for social change. As cultural agents with the convenience of various technological platforms, the younger generation helps bridge the cultural gap. They can promote multicultural understanding appreciation, and influencing how cultures mix and coexist.  The younger generation is increasingly involved in social and environmental activism. They use their global platforms to raise awareness about issues such as climate change, social justice, and human rights, and often lead movements pushing for policy change. Young people are a dynamic part of the global workforce. They adapt to new job markets, participate in international business ventures, and contribute to a diverse and multicultural work environment. In addition, as citizens of a global community, the younger generation increasingly views themselves as global citizens, understands the interconnectedness of global issues and acts on a global scale and plays a large role in advocating for policies and practices that consider global impacts.

Of course, this role cannot simply be realized without sufficient internal and external motivation to develop their personal capacity. Therefore, a lot of productive efforts are needed to make this happen. Universitas Ahmad Dahlan

(UAD) as a part of the Muhammadiyah Aisyiyah College (PTMA) is committed to continuously producing relevant activities, one of which is holding the Ahmad Dahlan International Youth Camp (ADIYC) 2024. This activity is a continuation of the first edition of ADIYC in 2023. International youth camp provides a dynamic platform for young people to acquire and hone the critical skills needed to overcome global challenges. By bringing together diverse perspectives and experiences, these camps can empower young people to become effective leaders, problem solvers, and global citizens.

The ADYIC 2024 program takes the theme “EXPLORING SKILLS OF YOUNGSTERS FOR ADDRESSING GLOBAL CHALLENGES” as the young generation’s response to today’s increasingly complex challenges. In general, the aim of ADIYC 2024 is to be able to develop ties of brotherhood, facilitate intercultural exchange and develop leadership skills, it can be a place for mutual dialectic with the themes raised by gathering the best young people from various regions of Indonesia and abroad, giving them the opportunity to learn, share experiences, and expand international relations networks.  This event is designed to create an environment that is inclusive, inspiring, and supports youth in their leadership development.

During the activity, camp participants will be given the opportunity to participate in various activities, such as leadership training, workshops and outbound activities. These are to encourage their best creativity and innovation in developing the skills they have to contribute to solving world problems according to their capacity. Through this activity, it is hoped that young leaders will be born who can develop a deeper understanding of global issues, learn to adapt to cultural differences, and build sustainable partnerships to create a positive impact in the future.
